The Bad |
Bad website optimization companies will tell you to go to www.blah_blah_blah.com and see the beautiful website they built for their clients. If you want to rank in the search engines (Google, Yahoo and the rest) get up and run (don't walk) from these people. We suggest you hire someone else. |
The Good |
Good website optimization companies will say something along the lines of "My client sells ________________ in the city of ______________" and then suggest you search for the product and city name in Google. If a company can show you at least ten websites where they rank for "short phrases" of just two or three words "that people actually search for" then maybe they can do the same for you". |
The Difference |
The difference is that the bad company had to tell you the address of the website (this is very embarrassing for a website optimization company and indicates they may not be good at what they do) whereas the good company is proud of the fact that the website they built for their client is sitting at the top of Google (Their clients are making money) and feel confident in their ability to do the same for you. |
The Awesome |
A company that is truly awesome at website optimization will not only have you search for the clients primary products in Google so you can see they are number one, but they will also suggest you search for a variety of their clients other products or services. Companies that can do this not only make money for their clients, but they tend to make much more money for their clients than the companies who are merely good. We (happily) fall into The Awesome category as the result of 20 years or research into how the search engines process information about websites and a lot of hard work (No sleep for the weary - We are all big coffee drinkers).
